Award in the Corrections Category by Law Enforcement Technology
and Law Enforcement Product News

Vienna, VA, October 17, 2006 - The DKL SilentGuard sensor system was one of three finalists for a 2006 Innovation Award in the Corrections category by Law Enforcement Technology and Law Enforcement Product News. The program recognizes outstanding companies that offer creative and forward-thinking products to the law enforcement community. Judging was done by a distinguished panel of law enforcement officers, and the winners were announced at the IACP (International Association of the Chiefs of Police) Conference in Boston on October 15th.

Editor Ronnie Garrett said the program was to recognize the companies creating innovative products designed to make officers more efficient, effective and safe.

DKL SilentGuard is an autonomous version of the patented sensors DKL has created to provide a silent and passiveelectronic tripwire. The DKL SilentGuard detects only living humans by sensing the unique electric field created by a beating human heart. The DKL SilentGuard can be concealed in walls or doorways or buried underground, and can reduce the false alarms associated with other sensor systems as part of an integrated perimeter system for military, security or medical use.

“We applaud Law Enforcement Technology and Law Enforcement Product News for taking the time to look at truly new innovations, and we're delighted that DKL SilentGuard is a finalist,” said Howard Sidman, president of DKL International.
