DKL has assembled a highly accomplished team of technical and
business talent to lead the Company. Management has focused on
developing partnerships with customers, product development, and
implementing a strategy to build and manage corporate
partnerships. Team members include:
Howard Sidman, President - Prior to joining DKL, Mr. Sidman held
a variety of senior posts in the United States Navy, culminating
in senior executive positions in Departments of State and
Defense during the Reagan, Bush and Clinton administrations. In
1994, Mr. Sidman was appointed Executive Director of the Navy
Department’s Combined Federal Campaign. Mr. Sidman retired from
the Navy in 1995 and founded H. B. Sidman & Associates, a firm
providing strategic planning and market analysis for developing
companies. Mr. Sidman was graduated from the United States Naval
Academy in 1973 and earned a Masters Degree in International
Affairs from Catholic University in 1989.
Dr. George H. Johnson, Chief Scientist - Dr. Johnson holds a
B.S. in Physics from Pennsylvania State University (1968), and
an M.S. and Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Cornell University
(1970 and 1974). From 1974 to 1993, he was a senior R&D
physicist/technology manager of the Dupont Company. In 1993, he
became Senior Technology Consultant at the CECON Group in
Wilmington, DE. In 1994 and 1995, he was a start-up principal in
C&D Communications and in Integrated Cryoelectronics, Inc.
Robert W. Van Dine, Vice President, Engineering and Product
Development - For the last twelve years, Mr. Van Dine has been a
management consultant engaged in technology, strategic planning,
operations and engineering in the manufacturing industry. Prior
to that, he had ten years experience in management, engineering
and operations at Bethlehem Steel. He was graduated from the
United States Naval Academy in 1973 and served five years as a
commissioned naval officer.
Thomas Afilani, Vice President, Research and Development - Mr. Afilani is the inventor and creative genius behind this new
technology. He has more than twenty years experience in the
research, development and production of detection equipment. For
the last eleven years, he has been President of Electroscopes by
Thomas, a company that markets detection equipment.
Jim Bryant, Vice President, Testing and Training –
Mr. Bryant is a 1971 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He
commanded a Nuclear Fast Attack Submarine and was the Deputy
Commander of a Submarine Squadron. He retired as a captain in 1994
and founded Manassas Cab Company, the fastest growing taxicab
company in Virginia. Bringing innovation to his taxicab company, it
was the first in the country to dispatch data to cell phone mobile
data terminals over the wireless internet. He is the Chairman of the
Board of GoldTerra, a mining operation in Utah that has 80 square
miles under claim and three approved mine sites.
Michael Kelley, Government Relations - Mr. Kelley is Chairman of
Berkshire, Inc., a private consulting firm. From 1981 to 1983,
Mr. Kelley was the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the U.S.
Department of Energy. From 1983 to 1989, he was Deputy Assistant
Secretary for International Trade in the U.S. Department of
Commerce. His area of responsibility was the U.S. Basic
Industries Sector, which included the International Chemical
Industry, the U.S. energy ferrous and non-ferrous Manufacturing
and forest products industries. Mr. Kelley is a board member of
the Eco Logic and on the advisory committee of the Prime
Photonics LLC. Franz Jaggar, Consulting Chief Financial Officer -
Mr. Jaggar is
a senior partner of Cost Containment Technologies, LLC and is
the Chief Financial Officer for Prime Photonics, LLC. Previously
the CFO for eStara, Inc., he was instrumental in structuring
over $15 million of venture capital investment in that company.
Mr. Jaggar has served as a senior financial advisor to several
companies including Summerland Financial Management Services,
Inc., Hydrocarbon Technologies, Inc., and Source Digital, Inc.
He has held previous positions as the Vice President for
Corporate Development for the Orkand Corporation and a Manager
at Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernst & Young).
Michael W. Iten, Vice President of Marketing and Sales –
Mr. Iten was previously the Director of Marketing and Sales at
BEAMHIT LLC. He was instrumental in making BEAMHIT a well known
name in Europe, South America and Asia. The company was sold to
L3 Corporation in May 2004. Previous positions held by Mr. Iten
in his 20+ years of Marketing experience domestically and
internationally, in the Commercial, Law Enforcement and Defense
Markets include Heckler & Koch, Wegmann USA, Smith & Wesson,
Insight Technology and BEAMHIT LLC. Mr. Iten has a BSBA in
Business Administration and is a decorated Vietnam War Veteran. |
